Food and Flamingos

We were hungry, but we wandered around a bit, trying to find an inexpensive place to eat. We didn't want to wander too far, for fear of running into something unpleasant, so we ended up across the street at the Flamingo, which advertised a cheap(er) buffet.

The buffet ended up being very expensive (for us) and so we settled with a smaller restaurant and Jose and I split a steak meal for $16. They robbed us blind with Clark though. There were no kids' meal options and so we ordered a quesadilla for him from the appetizer menu and paid way too much for it.

We were pretty bummed about the quality and cost of the meal, but figured the Flamingo made up for it by having a waterfall and real flamingos, which were pretty fun for Clark. Tips about where to eat in Vegas will be sought after if we ever decide to go there again!

We wrangled Clark in for a family photo by the Flamingo fountain. He was not happy about having to sit still for one second. He just wanted to play! There was lots of green grass and flowers and trees. Perfect for a little boy with lots of energy.
