Officer Clark

Oh my WORD! I cannot stand how cute these pictures are!!! Love my little officer!

A few weeks ago at Goodwill, Clark found a police hat. Ever since, I have endeavored to convince him that he should be a police officer for Halloween. He wanted to be a UPS guy. (Go figure.) Then, on Wednesday, we all went to Kmart and I showed him a police officer costume. For some reason, it all clicked! He got excited about being a policeman and I promised him that I would put his name on his blue church shirt.

It took me awhile this morning to figure out how to embroider his name with my sewing machine. I tried to do it by hand, but that was just ridiculous. Although I would hate for anyone to see the finished product up close, I'm pretty happy with it and Clark LOVES it. I could not believe what a ham he was for the photos, all spiffied up in his new costume!

We're headed to the dollar store for handcuffs. And maybe, a walkie-talkie. Clark has already added a whistle since the photo shoot. This is one prepared policeman, I tell ya. And, I'm trying to decide whether to make him a black tie, instead of using his church one. Bummer that we have to wait a whole month until Halloween!
