I would be lying if I didn't say that the Bellagio water fountain and light show didn't completely overcome me. It was so very beautiful. It was enchanting. And even my Las Vegas cynicism could not deny it.
We watched it again and again. The thing is, it is different every time. The water is choreographed to move with the lights and music and it is
spectacular. Every moment was one that was not to be missed.
Between show times, we just moseyed about. Looking at the lights and playing with Clark. He wanted to know what this big bright structure was. I told him it was the Eiffel Tower. Then I shook my head and wondered how Las Vegas could do this to me!? How do you explain to a 3 year old that what he is seeing really isn't the real McCoy?
Then the music would come on, the lights would flash, and the water would begin to spin and twirl again. I've just never seen anything like it.
Clark was just as enthralled as Jose and I were. He couldn't take his eyes off the show. It was a really great way to spend our evening. Memorable.
We even had a Michael Jackson sighting! I didn't want to get too close, so this picture is "artisticly" blurred, but you get the idea. I couldn't believe how like him this guy looked.
We didn't stay out too long. We wanted to get to a hotel before the crazies came out (besides the Michael Jackson guy, who I got a pretty big kick out of) and before Clark's happy disposition took a turn. He was so happy!
We had such a good time. Probably our most fun day as a family, and we've really had some fun days. So, "I'm telling ya, Vegas, seriously, grows on ya after awhile." (Name that movie and you are my
favorite!)
