Jose and I celebrated our fifth anniversary this year at a resort. The kind of place with automatic valet parking. It was marvelous. When I booked our stay, I mentioned the occasion and so when we went down to dinner, the server had scattered rose petals at our table and added additional candles. The pastry chef wrote "Happy 5th Anniversary" on our dessert plate. They had even printed a menu with "August 27, Happy Anniversary" on it as a keepsake.
Everything about this place was delightful and beautiful. We drank it all in, along with the French Berry Lemonade that we brought along and which sprayed all over our server, who was nice enough to open it for us even though they don't typically allow you to BYOBeverage. I think they didn't mind because it wasn't alcoholic, but I like to think they made the exception because we told them it was what we drank each night of our honeymoon in New York City. Yes, we're a tad sentimental. And I love it. Here's to the next five years!

Tyson has had a crazy medical test on our anniversary for the past 5 years. Can't wait until they are over. They just love July 12! :)
