At the beginning of August, Jose was really starting to miss us, I think. Summer is a little on the crazy side for folks with air conditioning companies. So, he decided that he would work his buns off early on Saturday morning and then spend the afternoon with us.

We took Clark to the Arizona Museum for Youth (for reals they call it AMY for short, which I think is hilarious) and in retrospect, we should have just skipped the exhibits and headed straight for this room, which was way more fun. Who wouldn't love giant blocks, right?

Off to the side of the block room, there was a magnetic blackboard where you could set up a bunch of tubes and then roll a ball through. Wow that was the best description I've ever written! But really, Clark loved it. Anyway, it was here that our outing at AMY ended. We grabbed some really yummy lunch at Grandma's Cafe across the street. Grandma really works there. And has toys for the kids and a million knick knacks, including a firefighter cookie jar that talks. Grandma's was just as entertaining as AMY!
