Gardner Village

On our way out of town, Clark and I went to Gardner Village, so I could peruse the quilt shop. I was not disappointed. The whole village is a homemaker dream come true. It's quaint, and in addition to the many darling vintage shops, it has a covered bridge, a candy store, a toy store and a bakery. It was like Kim & Clark Heaven. Okay, okay. It was more Kim Heaven than Clark Heaven. But he did like the toys, candy, and the bridge. Actually, it was more the throwing rocks off the bridge into the water that most captured his attention. The quilt shop, not so much. So, I did the one thing an aspiring quilter can do in such situations...I gave him free reign of my digital camera! He took about a million pictures of the wood floor and my feet, but he got a couple good shots of some cute fabric and me grinning at him.

We got lost on the way to the freeway, I know...hard to do in Salt Lake City, but it happened and it was a miracle all at the same time! On our quest for I15, we drove past Tai Pan Trading, where my Aunt Bonnie works. I had no idea where we were, but I knew she must be inside and she was! We stopped in and got to chat with her for a few minutes before we got on the road back home to Arizona. She bought Clark a Sprite. Serendipity. I love it.
