On Wednesday, May 12th, after Jose got home from work, we piled in the car and headed for Safford, Arizona to see the new Gila Valley Temple. I was really excited to be able to take Clark inside the temple. He always wants to go with us to the temple and is disappointed, so this time he got to go in too!

It was just a few days before the end of the Open House and it was a busy place! Beautiful and busy. Very beautiful. I loved the inside. All the pale blues and hues of gold. The incredible, sparkly chandeliers. Wow there is a lot of bling in this temple! Clark's favorite part was the "Pool, Mom!" Uh, that would be the baptismal font. Of course!

The day was just gorgeous. It was the perfect little afternoon. Tickle fest and all.

What I love about the temple is hard to describe in words. But I think this picture has something to do with it. Peace. Joy. Warmth. Beauty. But mostly, peace. It is a place of peace. Where my shoulders let go of their burdens and I feel lightened, and enlightened.

We went into town and ate dinner at Denny's (I know, right? So uber glamorous.) and then headed back home. I was so glad we passed by the temple again! It was an amazing sight at night! The beacon in the darkness. We are so very blessed.
