Grandma Lonette gave Clark a zoo pass for Christmas. It's got to be one of the best gifts EVER! It came with 2 tickets for Zoo Lights, a special seasonal event during the Christmas season. We decided to go for Family Home Evening on January 4th.
It was AMAZING! They had lights in all the trees and they had animals pictures made out of lights and lights that danced to music. It was spectacular! We were really impressed.
In addition to getting to see some zebras and flamingoes, and a few other animals that we could still see in the dark, we went to Sting-ray Bay. It's a huge attraction at the Phoenix Zoo. Clark loved it. I thought he would be scared, but he giggled the whole time and got so excited when the rays brushed by his fingertips.
I just can't say enough about the beautiful lights. It reminded me of the lights at the temple. Truly enchanting, but not super photogenic. Not with my little camera, anyway. So, here's my official plug for Zoo Lights! Mark your calendar and go this December, you won't regret it!
