Presents!

We waited until we came home from Mexico to open our Christmas presents. So, we opened everything at 6pm. It was different, and kinda anticlimactic, but it was still fun. Especially now that Clark is at the age that he knows opening presents is a good thing! Do you see me in the mirror?! I had to try really hard to get that shot!

I was excited to get a few books I've been wanting to read. Here I am, trying out my best Julia Child face. I can certainly identify with people that love good food, so My Life in France is right up my alley. Jose gave me a gift card so that I could go pick out some lamps, which took me over a month to decide on, and they are perfect! I also got a certificate for a manicure and pedicure, which will make my year when I cash that baby in!

My parents got Jose a digital recorder for medical school. Very cool. And I got him an iPod, so he's a little teensy bit spoiled. And I love spoiling him.

Clark made a haul in trains this year. Santa brought him a set with an airport included, and Grandma and Grandpa sent him a windmill set, which he had been talking about for months! He was overjoyed.

Poor kid had to wait until the morning to get to play with his trains though. We made him go to bed and then set it all up for him and he came out the next morning and had a blast! Then later, in January, he got to spend a gift card from Aunt Jenni on a train table we found for him at Toys R Us, on sale for $39.99! If you know anything about train tables, you know that this is a smokin' deal! Whoo-hoo! Needless to say, Clark now has more train stuff than he knows what to do with. Actually, he knows exactly what to do with it. And loves every minute.
