Schneeballen!

The window displays in Rothenburg are the most amazing sight. Every window is decked out to the max with Christmas decorations, stuffed animals, glassware, linens, porcelain figurines, you name it. And, of course, Schneeballen! They are deep fried pastry balls that have been dipped in chocolate, cinnamon and sugar, or nuts and they look like a snowball. I must say that I do not find them delicious. But if you are a pie crust kinda person, you'd love schneeballen.
