At 11 months, (all these pictures were taken in late September, I've been busy...) Clark is pulling a trick his mommy used to do...hide behind the couch to poop. Yes, folks, this kid takes after his mom. I took this picture of him, not realizing until later that the little stinker, pun intended, did indeed stink. He loves to crawl in between the couches because he knows I can't follow him in there...tight space you know. He loves it. He crawls in and turns around, waiting for me to see him and try to tickle him. And then occasionally, he lets loose while he's there.

Clark and I play soccer these days too. I love the light in these pictures of him. These were taken in the afternoon, at the front door. I send the ball rolling and Clark chases it down. Yes, I play fetch with my kid.

It's so cute how Clark expects the ball to come to him. He hasn't figured out the difference between inanimate objects and things that are alive and can move by themselves. But he's learning fast. And boy, does he like the things that move. He's a real fan of the fishtank at the pediatrician's office, for example...they've got all the Finding Nemo fish. And he loves to watch me move. The faster I can crawl after him, the better.

I just can't stand how fast he's growing though. I've had a real crisis lately, because next week his first birthday is coming up and I'm not ready to surrender my baby to toddlerhood. I love him so much and want him to stay little forever...it goes so fast. This first year has gone so very fast.
