Sushi!

Last night a Japanese sister in our ward taught us how to make sushi for Enrichment. One of our most enlightened activities, I must say! My sushi rolls looked almost identical to these, except my sesame seeds were not toasted. I didn't take a picture because I ate them instead! Oh so delicious! DIVINE, in a word. I really hope I get the gumption to make them on my own.

MMMmmmmm! Yes, let's have a sushi party for sure! I don't know if kids would eat it, and for that matter I don't know how many of the adults would eat it either! I was surprised that so many ladies I talked to about going to Enrichment don't like sushi and I know of a couple that came, but didn't like it. So. I guess we could invite people and if they don't like it, they can bring their own dinner??? :)

I was going to say, you needed to post a picture of yours! Andy devoured them whne I got home, he was nervous but said they were some of the best he has had. Brynley even ate a whole one by herself. Andy wanted me to make them for Superbowl but I don't have time to go and get everything. I'm in on a sushi party!

I'm embarrassed to say that I'm one of the ones who didn't really care for the sushi. **hides face in shame** But, as a disclaimer, Seiko brought some other sushi over a week before the class and I liked it. The salmon in the sushi we made was just way too fishy for me. But maybe someday I'll toughen up and be a cool sushi-lovin' girl like you gals... Maybe then I'll even HOST a sushi party. I'll be sure to invite the flying pigs too. =)

Mikados by South Town Mall has 1/2 off rolls on Monday and Tuesdays 5-7. Their rolls are amazing and they only use the top quality fish, rice, etc. Love it;o)

p.s. i'm still deciding if i want to respond to your tag up there or not. i'm not sure if "I" want to make something for "somebody else" or not. i'd love to get something from you, though. give me a few hours to think about it! Ü

We LOVE sushi in this house. I think living in Japan affected us that way! The only one of my kids who will eat it, though, is our son. And what boy that age doesn't eat?
Anyhow, i am so glad that you found me! I blog more than i facebook, too, but it was one of those things that people did, and all of a sudden everyone forgot what an e-mail address was.
