Jose had a great idea for a family outing today! To celebrate 2009, we took our first ride on the
Phoenix Valley Metro light rail! We parked at its last stop in Mesa and rode the train all the way into Phoenix, had dinner at
The Matador, which was
yummy; rode on the elevator and the escalators in the
Hyatt Hotel, which is just about as exciting as riding on the rides at Disneyland; and then got back on the train and came home! It was so much fun! Clark absolutely LOVED riding on the train; he's been addicted to watching The Polar Express for a solid month and loves playing with his trains. I told Jose that I hoped he wouldn't be disappointed when tapdancing waiters failed to show up and make hot chocolate for him. But I think he was thankfully too busy being excited and looking out the windows. Anyway, the only down side was that I forgot to bring along the camera. Happy New Year, everyone!
