Comfort Food

We found out Thursday night that we have to move out of our rental house on July 31st. I have felt a lot of peace about the situation, despite feeling so sad about leaving our ward, which has been more like our family since we got married and moved in almost three years ago.

So, yesterday afternoon I made chocolate chip cookies. It's the first time Clark has eaten a whole one by himself (I guess I just don't make them that often) and I decided to document the experience. These are probably the best pictures of Clark's eyes that I've gotten in about a year. It's amazing what can happen under the spell of a really yummy cookie! If you click on this picture to make it bigger, you can even see the color of Clark's hazel eyes. They're very unique.

Thankfully, last night (after wallowing in chocolate chip goodness all day)we found a house in our neighborhood that we'll be renting for the next couple of years, until we can afford to buy one. We just can't afford what we want right now, but during these next 2 years in 1300 sq ft, we're gonna save our pennies and start over in something nice--hopefully! So, the Aguilars are about to start our next adventure! Wish us luck and pray for Clark, please, that he'll adjust easily to the change.

I am glad you will be close by. Please tell me you will still be in the ward??? The ward wouldn't be the same without you! I love the pictures of Clark, he has beautiful eyes!!!!

Yep, still in the ward!!!! We're going to rent the Bushman's house while they are in Hawaii! Cool huh! It "worked out" perfectly. We are truly blessed.

Kim I almost cried when i first started reading your post and then I kept reading before picking up the phone and inviting you to pitch a tent in our back yard......hey I love ya and do not want you to move! I am thrilled to hear that you will be renting the bushman home. I was just telling her sunday that renting might be a fantastic option for her and that she might want to do that instead of selling. SEE IT WAS TOTALLY MEANT TO BE!

Your son is georgeous! What amazing photographs. That is funny you are renting the "Bushman home." Any relation? I loved those pictures from college too but I think the dinner one was a Thanksgiving dinner we had since it was taken in November. You look so cute in that pic! You probably were flirting with John (again sorry Becky) because you are laughing and he is looking at you. I love it! Sometimes I miss those times.

ok, i hate change, and reading your post made me get all emo on myself about moving to HB. It is hard! I am so glad that you will still be in the same ward! Isn't that key! I mean, it doesn't really matter as long as you have your family, but it is always nice. ;)

PS. Have more babies! Clark is gorgeous!

I was so sad as I read your post, until I read the comments to find out you'll be staying in the ward. Yay! I would hate to see you go. Great pictures of Clark, by the way. And those cookies sounded yummy...I've eaten all of one dessert in the last 30 days. Yum!
