Well, I hit the big Three-One this year. I'm no longer 30. I'm Thirtysomething. Does anybody remember that show? I only remember the commercials for it because I was too little to watch "inappropriate" tv, thank goodness. But that's what I am now. Thirtysomething. Wow.
Jenni and Toby and my mom put together a cake and ice cream party at a park in SLC, so we could all keep on partying all weekend! It was so fun, but freezing!!! I had planned for 70 degree weather, and it was 50! Pretty tough to blow out candles when the cold wind is blowing! So much for my wish this year....
These are my darling nephews, Chandler and Thomas. I think it's safe to say that they enjoyed the cake. They are too cute and I am so lucky to be their aunt!
Here's Clark taking a peek at little Addie. My roommate from BYU (almost!) Wendy, and her hubbie, just adopted Addie five weeks ago. We are so happy for them!!!! And we're glad she's being such a good sleeper for her mommy!
All in all, it was a wonderful day. Jose surprised me with a beautiful pink sapphire ring, which I'm going to wear until I can get my wedding ring back on. Wish me luck, you know, since I didn't get my wish this year, that I'll be able to shed these lousy pounds!
