Ah, the Joy of Sleep
I'm hoping that this post doesn't jinx our success, but here goes... Clark is sleeping in until 7 am!!! I hope you all know how huge this is for us, since he was getting up between 5 and 6 am for all his life. Yea for us!So, here's a shot of our lovely bedroom decor (we had to match everything to the tan and red walls...we're renting, otherwise I wouldn't pick red...)
Despite the fact that I would like to change the wall colors, I really like our room. I wish we had two lamps, instead of just one, but I bought that lamp when I was single and didn't think to buy two. I like that the room is a work in progress... it kind of reminds me of myself! I also love that our room has so much texture.
So, my cousin is buying some new bedding for her new King sized bed, and she asked for some advice on sheets. Here's what I wrote in her comments, just in case somebody else wants to know:I have lots of experience buying sheets because I had to buy 3 sets before we settled on some, but I am definitely a bargain hunter and I don't care where I buy stuff as long as the quality is good. We ended up with Bed Bath and Beyond's 1000 thread count Hotel Collection sheets, with striped texture (about $100 on sale), but the trick is to wash them in COLD WATER and DO NOT USE DRYER SHEETS when you dry them. The dryer sheets coat the cotton fibers in the sheet and cause pilling, which I hate. They will feel heavy and crisp, but they soften up after about a year, but the heaviness makes them great for winter. If you like a more airy soft thin sheet, I LOVE Linens 'N Things' hotel:living 5 Star Luxury @ Home sheets. Same washing instructions. I also got these on sale, for $50! These are super soft yummy summer sheets.
