Birthday Party

We had a few friends over last Sunday night to celebrate Jose's birthday. We've done it every year since we've lived here and I love having everyone over. The Stimpsons, the Weishaars, Nancy, and my cousins, Jon and Jordan Shields—Thanks for coming! We had cheesecake, as usual. And chocolate cupcakes, which are usually enormous but I realized as I was making them that I only had one cake mix (yes, I use a mix, shocker! Betty Crocker Triple Chocolate Fudge. Trust me.) and I wanted to fill up my cute cupcake holder. So the cupcakes were little this year. And, I added gluten-free, dairy-free brownies to the menu this year. And I must say, they were delish. Maybe I can handle this gluten-free thing after all!
