Welcome Home!
When we finally got home after our week-long absence, I found these beautiful flowers and sweet note from Jose. So nice to feel loved and missed.
Life got a little bit crazy, though, the next morning at 4 am. I woke up coughing. I couldn't breathe very well. It took about 15 minutes to get the coughing under control and then I went back to sleep, but woke again around 8 am with short, shallow breaths. At about 1 pm, I headed for the hospital, Clark in tow.
They ended up admitting me after a chest xray and a CT scan...possible pneumonia. I had never been hospitalized before, except for labor and delivery. It was CRAZY! The doctors and nurses were great, but I couldn't believe they made me stay for two whole days! July 22-24th.
I will be forever indebted to all my family and dear friends—Suzie, Kelli, Leslie, Rachel, Isabel, Kathy and my visiting teachers, Susy and Kristi, and especially Jose—for taking care of Clark, providing meals, calling, and visiting while I was in the hospital and recovering. I love you. And I thank you. So very much.
