I Learned to Quilt on Youtube
I've been on a major creative streak for the past year or so. It all started when I found this little desk, and painted it Oasis Blue. The wall art came next, followed by a shelf for fabric and ribbons. I busted out my sewing machine that had been in a closet for 3 years, brand new. I taught myself to sew a quilt on Youtube. No really! If I had a question about any part of the process, I consulted Youtube. The great thing about Youtube is the pause button!!! I would run back and forth from the office to my sewing machine for hours! And now I know how to make a quilt from start to finish. Plus I've sewn quite a few aprons. For Christmas gifts and also for my niece and nephews for Valentine's Day. It's been so much fun. Such a learning process. Each time I make something new, I learn something different and I get better at it. I love love love my little "studio," which is just one wall's worth of space in our room, and I feel inspired each time I sit down to work.
