The post you've all been waiting for...

We went to Trunk or Treat on October 30th dressed as "The Holidays." I thought it was pretty clever, but Jose wasn't too impressed. We just wore tshirts. Jose had The Fourth of July, Clark had Halloween and I had St. Patrick's Day. (This picture is in front of our friend Deneen's car.)

The main reason for our being so costume deprived was my lack of creativity and overabunance of stress for the past couple of weeks, plus the fact that Clark screamed bloody murder when I tried to put a borrowed Spiderman costume on his body. It had muscle padding and everything. Very cool.

But he hated it. So, we went with the tshirts; I know. Lame. But, I had a flash of inspiration for Halloween night. Clark LOVES wearing pajamas. And, I remembered that my mom had gotten him some Superman pjs about a year ago (they are 3T--for a 3 year old, basically) and I had put them away until Clark was big enough to wear them.

Well, Clark was very happy to put on his "jammies" to go get candy from the neighbors. I don't think he ever even noticed that he had a cape velcroed to the back of his shirt. Jose thought he looked more like Buddy from the Incredibles than Superman, but hey, at least he had a costume! We went trick or treating with the Stimpsons and I actually got him to say "Tricker Treat" and "Thanks!" to the candy givers.

Cute, creative, way to improvise. :) Sydney hated getting dressed in her costume too, but me being the stronger willed mommy MADE her. And she grew to like it, after a while. Now she ASKS To be put in her costume or see pictures of her in "the dress". Funny. Call me if you want to talk... I'm still "baby-less", my mom is here now though so my nerves aren't quite so frazzled. I'd love to listen/talk. :) Love you Kimmie!

yeah who cares. if anyone thought anything about your costumes it was probably just pure envy. that they spent like 6 hours on their white ghost makeup and then got asked to say the prayer at the ward activity and felt inappropriate. hypothetically speaking.
