Ward Christmas Party

So, Jose had to work during the Ward Christmas pancake breakfast. Dang those Saturday morning service calls. But Clark and I enjoyed it. The bishop and his counselors do this hilarious rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas. I can't even explain it; it's so funny. Okay, I'll try since you twisted my arm: Several kids hold up a long stretch of butcher paper that has been labeled with the twelve days (for the audience's benefit) and then the three members of the bishopbric take turns hiding behind the "wall" and popping out with a prop for each of the days, while the audience sings the song. So, that's our bishop up there with the beret and scarf (3 French Hens), desperately out of breath. And it gets progressively funny when they are all three running back and forth to pop up with each of the props, for the ENTIRE song. Everyone loves it. And then after breakfast we all sing Christmas carols and Santa comes!
This was the first year that Clark actually sat on Santa's lap and didn't cry hysterically! He actually stood in line and waited patiently and then sat up there! He was a bit nervous, so he whispered, but he was excited to ask Santa for boxing gloves and for a blue Lego train with switch tracks. And Santa delivered! Well, everything but the switch tracks.
