Making Tracks to Great Destinations

This summer, Clark figured out how to "make tracks." He asks me if he can "make tracks" just about every single day. Sometimes muliple times a day. He gets creative with tunneling under the furniture and such.

The other day he told me that he was "making tracks to great destinations." In case you don't have a train obsessed two-year-old, that's a direct quote from the opening narration for the Thomas the Tank Engine shows. He even knows what a coupling rod is, for Pete's sake.

These boys learn so much from Thomas the Train, it is hillarious! By 2 1/2 Hayden could name every one of them, there are 3 blue ones, I don't know how he knew which was which but he did! The train obsession lasted a very long time in our house, it was kind of nice. Most of the other toys just stayed put away!

So cute! What is it with boys and trains? I'm sure I'll be right there with you before I know it.
