The Big Reunion

Ok, folks, if you didn't know already, I loved New Kids on the Block for most of my teenage years. I even had a video. The posters of them, especially Jordan, in my room made me "feel safe". No, I'm not kidding. So, let's hear it for the New Kids and their return to music!!! I don't think Jose will let me put up a poster in our room, but he said that he will take me to the concert, which I missed as a kid because the tickets were sold only on Sunday. That was quite the day. I think I cried for 3 hours! But thanks, Dad, for letting me make the choice.

Ok Kim, I am coming out of the closet because of you... I too was a huge fan. I too cried the day of the Sunday concert! My friends were not members and they went and I was sooooooo disappointed! When I heard they were having a reunion it cracked me up. It has been so long it hardly seems real. I wonder if I will still like their music?

Oh, I still like the music, although I can admit now that it's pretty cheesy. But I'm actually excited to hear their new stuff. I'm just amazed that they are doing this. I mean, they kinda dropped off the face of the earth, and now they are back like 15 years later??? Obviously, it's a good way for them to make A LOT of money, but I think they'd have to really be excited about it in order to pull it off, so, we'll see!

okay, i had my own n.k.o.t.b. club in school! i liked donny and jordan. that was the very first cassette i ever begged for. it's too bad i don't still have the tape.

I was right there with you except I had the hots for Donnie. I even wrote into big bop magazine professing my undying love to him! But I had the video and the tapes and posters and all the memrobilia. Crazy!

I guess they had the 'right stuff' for you, huh? Have fun at the concert! Did you know that Mark Wahlberg was invited to join them back then with his older brother Donny, but he didn't want to try out. Later he started Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. If he were in the group, I would probably like them...

New Kids tapes were the first I ever owned. I was in love with Donnie. My older sisters had a Live Concert on video and I would watch the preformance of "Cover Girl" over and over.

I too am excited for the comeback.

Holy cow, yeah, Kimmie, I was a HUGE fan as a teenager too. POSTERS EVERYWHERE. Not sure how I'll take to the reunited group these days, but we'll wait and see! Cool that your hubby is gonna take you to the concert. I actually went to a Sunday concert here in AZ and it was so disappointing to my 14 year old heart (the fact that I was so far from the stage - I learned later I'm just not into concerts really) that we left EARLY. Wild huh. Served me right for breaking the Sabbath... :)
